| When the bosses at German station RTL were looking for a presenter for 'Der Schwächste Fliegt!', they immediately chose Sonja Zietlow as they were looking for someone with a similar character to Anne Robinson. The show is aired daily at 3pm. Sonja Zietlow was born on May 13th 1968 in Bonn. She is 1.78 m tall and has blue/green/grey eyes. She is a Taurus. Sonja has got a dog called Laska and a horse called Apanachi. Her sister is 34 years old, her two half brothers are 19 and 21 years old. Sonja's hobbies are: jogging, riding, tennis, inlineskating, skiing/snowboarding. Before her education as a pilot, Sonja was a model and activity leader in some holiday clubs. In 1993 she was a contestant in a dating show, and in this show her talent was discovered. Sonja started her career as host of a show for children ("Bim Bam Bino"). Right after that, she presented the first interactive game show in Germany "Hugo". The viewers could call a telephone number, and if they were chosen, they could play a computer game with their telephone and tv. Sonja helped the players and always tried to make them happy. She was host at the RTL2 show "Hotzpotz", where funny commercials were shown. In 1996, Sonja presented the comedy-show "Pack die Zahnbürste ein" (which means something like "Don't forget your tooth brush"). Her talkshow "Sonja" started on January 13th 1997. It was the most popular German talkshow with the most viewers. There's still no German talkshow that beats her success. On December 17th 1998, Sonja took over the show "Verzeih mir" ("Forgive me"). The last show of "Sonja" was recorded on October 10th 2000 in Hamburg Since March 19th, Sonja is the host of "Der Schwächste fliegt", which is not very popular in Germany. Many Germans think that all the little comments about the team's performance are dead serious, they do not understand this humor. Some people even say "Sonja is a beast, witch etc!", they do not understand that Sonja acts this kind of person. The viewing rates of Der Schwächste fliegt are around 20%, the other shows do not have much more viewers, but many people think that nearly nobody watches it. But in the last month, more and more people started to like it. RTL said that they want to think about the future of Der Schwächste fliegt in autumn. Let's hope they will continue producing it in the future... |
