Interview: Julie Ordon The 17 years old Julie Ordon won the Madison Top Model Contest in 1999 and has since than a modelling career behind her. GLAMOUR spoke with young Swiss GLAMOUR.com: How were you discovered? JULIE: When I was six years old, a friend of my mother made a photo and sent it to an agency. He was convinced that I had that "something" for the model - I also made then a few jobs, mainly for catalogs. With 16 I participated in the Modelwettbewerb of the Madison agency . I was with friends in Geneva and they discovered the advertisement and persuaded me to participate. I went to Paris - that was in December 1999. There I had an intrview and fotoshootings. It was unbelievably nice, one became acquainted with many girls and the people from the agency.I found everything very exciting. When I won, everything went madly fast... GLAMOUR.com: which was your first job, after you terminated the Contest as Siegerin? JULIE: my first job was a fotoshooting for the Guess campaign. I work for the Model - for the Italian VOGUE, for Chanel, Biotherm, Victorias Secret. I also performed in a film of Cedric Anjer. GLAMOUR.com what do you prefer in the future: acting or modelling? JULIE: ideal would be, if I could make both in the future, films and modelling. Now I spend a lot of time in New York, because working is more professional there, and I like the people and the city. In addition it is not so far from New York to my friend - he lives in Los Angeles. |
