| Mitzi - she will Kapture your heart. Mitzi was born on May 2, 1964, in Yorba Linda, California. Her father Patrick was of Irish descent and her mother Bobbie of Dutch and Cherokee descent. Mitzi is the youngest of four children. They relocated to Atlanta, Georgia when she was 9; Mitzi took piano and dance lessons all the while. She attended Berry College, taking computer courses, and then pursued acting at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre. Mitzi moved to California to start her acting career; at 18 Mitzi met Bradley Kapture, and they married in 1982 (they had a daughter, Madison, on January 24, 1996). In real life, Mitzi is always positive, happy, down-to-earth and affectionate. The petite (5'3") green-eyed actress does not display those qualities in some of the roles she portrays. She was memorable as Molly Stewart in the movie "Angel III: The Final Chapter" (1988). Mitzi's breakout TV role was as Lieutenant Rita Lee "Sam" Lance, a detective specializing in the "Silk Stalkings" detail in the TV series of the same name. She played a driven, brilliant, tough, and sexy homicide cop in ritzy Palm Beach, Florida. "Silk" (as it's called by its fans) was a phenomenal success. Fans of all ages were drawn by the magnetism and chemistry of the main characters, played so skillfully by the talented duo of Mitzi Kapture and Rob Estes. After taking some time off from work to be with her new daughter, Mitzi turned in great performances, within the crime genre, in a pair of TV-movies "Perfect Crime" (1997) and "His Bodyguard" (1998). Mitzi was also a regular on the "Baywatch" TV series, from 1998-99. Always a generous person in real life, Mitzi is donating her time and efforts to worthy causes. Mitzi is the National Spokesperson for the "Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society" which is a not-for-profit organization to find a cure for Xeroderma Pigmentosum (a rare genetic defect characterized by severe sensitivity to sunlight; the wide range of symptoms include blindness, deafness and increased cancer rates). On the rare occasions when the ever-busy Mitzi has some time to relax, Mitzi's interests are yoga, music, reading, photography and painting. |
