Julia Hummer is considered to be one of the most promising new generation actresses in Germany. She was descovered more or less by coincidence: a photographer needed apicture for "Jetzt" magazine, and he stopped Julia on the street in Hamburg One of the pictures appeared also in the Cover. As the director Sebastian Schipper searched a certain type of girl for his comedy "Absolute Giganten" (1999), he remembered the photo. Julia was invited to the casting and got the role. But, up to that moment everything was not so rosy in Julias life. Julia Hummer grew without father with her four brothers and sisters with her mother. At the age of 13 she left her siblings and wanted to live with her father,whom,up to that moment, was never become acquainted with. But his wife sent Julia back to her mother into Switzerland. Julia Hummer did not stay there for a long time, she went to Itzehoe, where she attended a High School. But soon she lost her interest for the school,and she was put in a youth centre. Naturally, after a short timeshe went out and established herself in Hamburg, where she was discovered by the photographer. |
