Emmanuelle is Canadian, and has been working as an actress since the age of 10, in McDonalds commercials, since then she has been on countless sitcoms as a guest, had small roles in films, like Detriot Rock City, had a bigger part in her beak-through in Snow Day, all the way up to a Steven Speilberg multi-million dollar epic, A.I.!!!!!
She still lives in Montreal, and she is in her early twenties. As for trivia, Emmanuelle hates bees and she is also afraid of heights!
In the past week, Emmanuelle Chriqui has averaged about two and a half hours of sleep a night. "It's been such a roller coaster!" exclaims the twentysomething actress.
Not that she's complaining. Chriqui is breaking through as Abbey in the new film On the Line (also known as the 'N Sync movie, thanks to the presence of boy-banders Lance Bass and Joey Fatone). While the teen-pleasing popcorn flick isn't Chriqui's first time onscreen (she had roles in Snow Day and A.I.), her newfound leading-lady status is likely to put her on the fast track to fortune.
In the film, a meek ad exec (Bass) meets the girl of his dreams (Chriqui) on a train but fails to get her number. Or name. Or anything. Amid the backdrop of Chicago and the strains of Al Green, Bass spends the rest of the movie going to great lengths to find his mystery girl.
Which got us wondering...
The question that millions of boy-band fans are dying to know: What's it like to make out with a member of 'N Sync? "Lance and I have been laughing about it all week. It was awkward, because we'd spent, like, a month and a half hanging out, really becoming great friends. Normally, when you're doing a film and you have a kissing scene, it always tends to be at the beginning for some reason. So, there's no established history. 'Nice to meet you. We're gonna kiss? Great.'
But with Lance, it was like, Oh, no! How do I kiss one of my best friends? But it was great...there was the right amount of awkwardness and excitement at that moment. He was a great kisser. Lucky for me!"
Was she a fan of 'N Sync before filming? "No. I had known about 'N Sync, but I didn't know their names or have their CDs. When I went to the callback to read with Lance, I didn't know who he was for a second. That was a good thing. Had I been a fan, I would have choked in the audition for sure."
Winter wonder: Roaming the halls in Snow Day.
And now? "I'm a huge fan! I went to their concerts so many times. I had a blast. I got to know the boys, and they are the most excellent people you could meet."
Isn't she afraid some rabid Lance lover is going to claw out her eyes? "Actually, the fans are unbelievable. There's basically the same bunch of girls who hang out outside the hotels. I've gotten gifts and bracelets and teddy bears. This one girl said, 'You're real c
